Scratch

This may sound kind of ignorant, but I really have no clue. I'm much better at the technical stuff and would like to leave the writing to those who are more imaginative and better at that skill (which is why I started this post, to bring together people with different skills). I'm willing of accept any of your ideas. Thanks!

Long enough to be interesting, but also short enough that it does not take forever for a team of child/teen animators 

Depends on how complex the settings and characters are. It all boils down to the creation and animation of the characters and scene. 15 minutes does seem a little long. How about around 10?

Ok, I've got an idea. It could be about an alien gladiator tournament type thing, and it's going to be the main character's turn to participate after the next few rounds. So the animation would show the games (for action), while the main character, waiting in his cell, is rapidly coming up with a way of escaping. So when his turn finally comes, he manages to escape from the guards and runs through the building where he's being kept. He manages to get on the roof, but it's too high to jump from because the building is floating hundreds of feet up in the air (but it is above the sea).

So then he has to go back through the building and find the generators that power the jet engines and then shut them down. After he does, and the building has fallen down to a suitable height, he goes back to the roof (or wherever) and jumps off and into the sea. And he does all this while being pursued by the guards.

I'm glad you like it. I was thinking that it would be good because it's based in a man made structure, meaning that it would be mainly flat surfaces. And that's easier to do than, say, a mountain range.

I didn't actually read through all the jobs you wanted people to do. So now that I have, I could be set designer as well. 

I'll do it in SketchUp.

I was thinking alien, like all the rest. Though maybe the baddies collect people from many different planets and force them into the games, so he could be human.

I've actually just started it, I'm afraid.    Sorry about that. I was working on a script for someone else. But I promise I'll get it done by tomorrow (probably).

What do you want the main character be called? Is Daniel ok?
