I loved the first two books, but I started to read the third and it was too tame. I was just like 'oh wow, she's upper middle class, much like her parents' so I stopped reading by about the third chapter.
I was also very confused by the topic title.

Yeah, the first two books were better than the last two. A Darkling Plain is pretty good, though, but everybody dies.
