All Summer in a Day [okay it's technically a short story but still the saddest thing ever--you can go find it on the Internet and I guarantee you will agree]Never read Bridge to Terabithia, but I heard that the girl dies or something?
Read the Wiki article in The Giver -- sad
You should really read both of them.
A wiki article (most wiki's intentionally unemotional and strictly informative) cannot convey it the way the author can and they are both really great.

Ender's Game. Especially the parts where he's crying about missing his family.

+1
But I don't agree with you on the family part, I think the saddest part is when he goes into the video game to let go, and when he reaches "the end of the world", he likes it a lot and then at the end, after he unknowingly/unwillingly killed off all the buggers and went to live on their home planet, he found that the buggers had built for ender that part of the video game. That was super sad.

Either Mockingjay, Dewey, or Marley and Me.. Waahhh!!!!
On the other hand, the saddest THING I have ever read, is probably either My Little Dashie or My Only Sunshine. Yes, both are MLP:FIM fanfics.
...
DON'T JUDGE ME.

Mockingjay, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Private Peaceful (so sad
) and All Summer in a Day were the saddest for me.
On a side note...I remember reading the last story at school, and I couldn't remember what it was called until now. Thanks to everyone who mentioned it!
