a new block should be like this:if (variable) is set to (number) stop all

Why do you need it to be in one block? Just use a regular if, a regular equals boolean, a regular stop all block, and snap them all together.

Plus your variable, and fill in the other input with the value.

With the cloud feature, will you be able to save people's game data so that if they exit out of the Internet and come back on, they will be able to play from where they left off?  smile

it doesnt remember your ip or stuff automaticly but you can make a code with lists and do a manual save and load

just check out one of my projects

You can have a username and encrypted password.

Also, In Scratch 1.4, you can drop reporter blocks in the broadcast blocks. In 2.0, you can't.
Would it be possible to include a

(MD5 [text])
block? It would be useful for things such as encrypting passwords.

Re: What do you think of the Scratch 2.0 Prototype?

I think next prototype you do you should allow people to use as many features as you (the scratch team) already made, instead of restricting some features (such as cloud variable use) to a small group of Scratchers.

The scratch 2.0 prototype looked great, though I grew bored not being able to post projects and edit sprites... :p
I'm super excited for cloud storage, along with defining blocks and making clones!  big_smile

Re: What do you think of the Scratch 2.0 Prototype?

Since the biggest concerns topic is closed, I'll post right here. I've been using the 2.0 prototype, and it's working fine I'm a bit worried about the paint editor, however. I can't find a line tool, and the there is no gradient (that I can find. I do like the bendable lines, though. All in all, it works pretty well. I would also suggest, on a different note, there should be a way to hide procedures, maybe if they're over  certain length (70-100 blocks or so.) This could reduce the block rendering lag, and be useful. People would know it was a "Open this procedure at your own risk" type thing.

Edit: also, there should be an option for blocks on the left or right side.

Also there's a random diamond, the "1" variable isn't checked but it's showing, one of the "defines" has a random shape on it, the wow and hi block have no coloring, the scratch cat is not at -27 degrees.
