Is someone getting the Wii U? I'm getting mine for christmas

I haven't really looked into it, being a sole iPad gamer, but my friend who has a Wii says it looks like a minor and mostly stupid upgrade.

How so?

Here are all the features (READ THEM REALLY REALLY REALLY CAREFULLY TO YOUR FRIEND):

It's portable
It's backwards compatible with the Wii
There is a pro controller
There may be a download service

(By the way, that's not all)

Not a gamer if it's on an iPad.

I mean . . . it's not a minor upgrade.
