What is your experience in this role? I have a 2-year old account, brettman98, and a more recent and successful account, backspace_
For programmers: 2 years
For graphic artists: 2years, I mostly do pixel art, and my most recent game has great art.thanks for noticing this
Sorry. I wasn't on. Sure, your on.

What is your experience in this role? Creating calculators to calculate distances, formulas, etc. with a limited amount of information. Converting strings into list formation, editing the list, and converting it back to a string. I'm pretty sure I could easily help with the attack programming and I'm moderately good at organizing broadcasts.
How long have you been using Scratch, specifically? 1 year, 8 months, 10 days, 2 hours, 7 minutes. Plus or minus a minute or two.
Sweet! Your in.

For programmers: How long have you been using scratch, specifically? Not long, about a month but I know a lot
For graphic artists: How long have you been designing game art? I don't design game art but collect a lot of sprites that have no use YET!
For sound artists: How long have you been writing music/creating SFX? I don't write music but I could get sfx and music!
My best game:

Alright, quadruple post... I'm sorry.
Anyway, what we need right now is to get a name for the game we are working on.
If you guys have read the title post, you'll know about the mechanics and stuff. If not, read it now! Also, for the programmers we need to get together a base for recognizing shapes and for the graphic artists maybe we could get a tileset and some character designs up.
And, @Hotwire: Old london sounds great.

I quickly drew up an example of what I think you mean (found here.) If someone knows how to center the objects and/or improve the graphics that would be great!
The changing of how close the person has to be to the outline is easily adjustable; same with the shape sizes.

Ok, this is great. I think we need it to be a little more picky, because I keep getting 100% every time.
And, I came up with a name I kind of like:
GeometriQuest
What do you think?

If you set ghost effect to 0 you will see the object that checks it. It can be adjusted with set size; the bigger the size the easier it is and the smaller the size the harder it is.

So what style for the game?
Medieval I think. What do you say?
Also, we need to come up with some back story for the game.
As well as, if this is going to be an rpg, items, monsters, etc. If anybody could come up with a few ideas for that, that would be great.
Graphics style? Can you do pixel art? If not, I was thinking in the style of FableQuest, by 08jackt.

Right then story line:
Once upon a time there was a little circle could Bob, he didn't like geometric shapes so everyone used geometric spells to try and kill him!
Okay now seriously, There were twenty-one great wizards who every Lunar Eclipse would meet up and cast a spell across the region in which they lived. This spell would protect their home land from the dark creatures who possess the earth. On one of these lunar eclipses when the twenty-one great wizards were to meet up the location was leaked by one of the wizards who had left the protected region and during that time been corrupted by the ideas of the dark. He told the monsters of the time when the spell was weakest, this was when a lunar eclipse was in a leap year. It just so happened that the next time a spell needed to be cast was on a leap year and so the dark built up an army and marched into the land that night, some of the weak monsters still felt the power of the spell and fell dead as soon as they entered the region. However this did not stop the others, the dark has no fears had so they marched on into the land laying waste to villages and people who got in their way. They reached the location of where the wizards were to cast their spell and captured them. The wizard who leaked the dark the location was called Tyrain. He sent the captured wizards each into their own separate dimension where they were not to be seen or heard.
Tyrain took to power over the dark, leading them to other villages and tearing them apart. He left the region with the dark and forged a palace for him to live in. However Tyrain soon missed what he had. The dark were just shadows or monsters who communicated in grunts. He felt alone.
After two years of being with the dark he grew to cold and lonely, so he ran away back to the region he once lived. He opened a portal and traveled to a dimension in which he had trapped a wizard. He asked for the wizards help but was turned away. So he tried another, after his forth request he gained sides with a wizard named Richale. Then they started the most dangerous journey of their life-time. Running from dark and jumping dimensions to free the wizards he once trapped to stop the dark that ravaged the lands he once lived in.
So... what do you think?

Awesome!!!! Sweet. Let's use it! BTW, could all the dark creatures be based on polygons? Colored brown, red, black, dark green, shadowy colors you know.
Tyrain and Richale could each use a different type of magic. Maybe one ice, one fire? One shadow, one healing? You can't beat the game without using each of their special skills.

Double amazing then.
Could we make the gameplay like Final Fantasy? With an overworld where you encounter monsters, towns where you are safe and can buy stuff, and dungeons where you encounter harder monsters. I'll start working on a tileset.

I'll go sprite searching too and start programming the movement of them. Have you got a gallery I could put them in - it doesn't matter if you do.

Sure, list em. Right now I don't think we need sprites, however we do need some ideas for items and monsters. Read Hotwire's storyline. Do you think you could come up with a list of items? (Characters are wizards, so staffs, wands, rings, robes, etc.)

Could you get together a basic scrolling engine? After you do that, I'll put the battle system into it. (Similar to pokemon, walk into a hostile area and you encounter an enemy.)
