Mom: Moe: [Moe]
Father: Fame: [Fame]
Dad: Tohoe: [To-hoe]
GrandMother: Gemoe: [Ge-Moe]
GrandFather: Gefame: [Ge-Fame]

Fire: Fayo: [Fay-o]
Water: Gayo: [Gay-o]

Um... I don't wanna offend you, but it probably won't be. People won't be willing to learn a random language made by a kid on the Internet that nobody else speaks yet, if that's what you mean. I don't wanna offend you, I just thought I should probably say that. :S

Also, you generally don't use the name of the language as a way of saying "hello".

I meant the language itself will be big. Like, a lot of words. Not a lot of people speaking it. I will probably be the only one speaking it.

Also, you generally don't use the name of the language as a way of saying "hello".

My language is different.

Oh, okay. I misunderstood.

Re: HYE: The Language

Will it differ in grammar from English, or will it just be word substitution?

The grammar might change a little. Not very much, though.

Re: HYE: The Language

By the way, how'd you come up with the name? Just wondering. (And is the official spelling all-caps?)

Well, I came up with name because I was watching a Japenese YouTube Video, and they kept yelling, "HYE!" So, I thought that sounded like, "Hi!" So, I made a language...  big_smile

And, yes, it is.

I'm still making it. So far, a couple of months. I build on it as I write my book.

Re: HYE: The Language

One question: Are you actually thinking about this language? Or are you just making up words because they sound cool? And have you even bothered at all about grammar, or will this be an English clone? Pronunciation too.

Sorry to be so critical, but you need it if this language is going to be any good.

Yawn, another boring text signature. I should really make something better.

Yes, I am thinking about it, and the grammar will not be excactly the same as English, but fairly close.

Re: HYE: The Language

Noun and verb declension?

For example the -e ending could relate to a 1st declension of noun.

Nominative: -e
Accusative: -eh
Plus any other case you may want

Or for example verbs:

1st, s. : -i
2nd, s.: -is
3rd, s. : -id
1st, pl.: -ioum
2nd, pl.: -ioud
3rd, pl.: -idum

That's a very good Noun and Verb declension, but I am not going to add that quite yet. Maybe later!  wink
