So my students have been working in Scratch all year and we are running into a strange problem now. Some backgrounds and costumes will not import. Has anyone else ran into this problem? You select the background or costume and nothing.

Probably certain images aren't compatible or are on an unsupported format (like .psd. Which format are your students trying to import?).

They are just taking the sprites from Scratch itself, the one's in the folders. Same with the backgrounds.

Check to see if the images are kinds that Scratch supports, or maybe you intalled Scratch wrong

Wierd, because they should all work. Try re-installing scratch, maybe they became corrupt or something hmm

I know this problem from Scratch v1.2. Maybe you should install v1.3.1

Maybe the file permissions are messed up?

That happens with me too. But only when I export the sprite... not the costume.

I've installed Scratch v1.3.1 and my students also can't import some original backgrounds or costumes of the Scratch-installation. Some works, other not. For example: boy4-walking-a works, boy4-walking-b not
