Why I've Been Inactive Lately
Well, I'm working on a game (a strictly INDEPENDENT project, unless somebody comes begging me to let them help) called...
[dramatic]Waddle Dee RPG!![/dramatic]
This is the thread where I post updates as I make them, sort of like the Smash Bros. Dojo. I know this is pretty insignificant for a project with an update thread, but I don't mind revealing everything (except possibly the really important plot points). I am NOT trying to be the next Tsunami_Enterprises (ugh). This is just for discussion and is also a convenient excuse as to why I haven't had very many new projects lately.
Successive versions will be posted as they come.

Okay, good, because here goes the first post...
I haven't even decided about the plot, but so far it's centering around Waddle Dee trying to warp somewhere. There is one NPC, the Goomba who tells you how to exit screens and how to click to interact. There is one sprite that serves as a "voice" for the NPCs, which is basically a template with a text thing in the middle of it. Each NPC also has a little avatar I took from Brawl that goes in the voice sprite.
There are three locations so far. The Forest of Start is... aptly named, and it is where you will find the Goomba. The Cosmic Warp is useless until you get 5 warp pieces from various locations, so that's why you encounter it early in the game. Then you have the Room of the Creator, a picture of my bedroom with a little cameo of Orbit, my fat cat.
COMING NEXT: STOP MOTION STORY SEQUENCES?! You'd better believe it!

I now have a whole whack of ideas. First:
v1.0.1 is almost ready. I fixed a glitch or two and have new terrain plans.
There will be a guardian in front of the Creator's Room - Spear Waddle Dee. He will just ask you "Does my spear look nice?" There will then be three options: Yes, Um..., and NO WAY. Answer NO WAY, and he will throw his spear at you and launch you back to the Forest of Start. Answer Um... and he will say "better than nothing..." and sulk. Answer Yes and he will let you through!
I have the first three owners of Warp Pieces. Giant Star Plush (I sewed it myself), the Secret 3-D Goomba (NewSMB sprites), and Chain Chomp. Possible terrains will include my dresser (Holy Altar), under my bed (Cavern), my windowsill (Gateway), and my backyard (Forest of Middle). The window will be open, so you can jump through and land in the Forest of Middle.
Yes, the warp will probably warp you to the Forest of End.
