Pretty sure I've heard about Night's Favoured Child, will look it up, and all the other suggestions too. Thank you all for giving me something to read. 

The Three Sisters is also a good one-shot, tragedy/dark story, it's featured right now and I read it yesterday. Some say it's sadder than My Little Dashie, I must be inmune to sad fics.

I recommend you give "Smoke and Mirrors" a go. It's somewhat dark, yet fun and hilarious at the same time.
Chapter 3 has a cleverly-done chase scene.

I'd better check if Chapter 7 is up now; Smoke and Mirrors updates pretty often and usually gets featured each time a new chapter is added.

Yes. Nah, it's a sweet family fic-some would say it stays closer to the source materiel then... all other fanfics ever. If you can read this without highlighting get a better browser.

Night's Favoured Child is good and updates somewhat regularly, although not as much as I'd like. The Moonstone Cup and Our First Steps both just finished recently, so you could check those out too.

Also, if you want something longer, Dangerous Business is excellent.

Oh absolutely, but I figured that I've mentioned it enough recently and wasn't sure if that was the sort of fic they were looking for anyway.
