I was thinking about makeing a scary game... but then I think how scary can it be. like can i use:
jump scares.
atmostheric scares (i.e. uneasy music, distorted backrounds).
creepy monsters.
miled blood.

it wolud be a big help if someone can tell me if i can use any of these.

Don't make the blood realistic.
No jump scares. Is that like, where someone screams, and someone jumps?
Atmostheric scares are allowed
Creepy monsters-just don't put any realistic blood on the monsters.

I think jump scare/screamer stuff doesn't belong here. Eerie atmospheric stuff is perfectly fine and mild blood is OK, though it might get your game marked "not for everyone" which means it can't appear on the front page.

Jump scares, as long as they aren't bloody or anything, are OK.
For blood, maybe a scrape, but really, there are so young people on scratch, for their sake, don't.
atmospheric stuff is FINE!
make the creepy monsters... just creepy. not horrifying.

Mild blood is allowed on scratch but I wouldn't go there. For creepy monsters, As long as they don't have blood or anything inappropriate it's probably OK.

As long as it's not going to offend anyone or it's not too bloody, I think it's fine. You may want to put a warning in the title, just for younger scratchers. smile

Well, a fair idea of what is and isn't allowed is to look at scary games geared at kids and see what they're like.

Creepy monsters and atmospheric scares would probably be okay. I'd stay away from using jump scares and blood since those are usually frowned upon around here.
