@jji - You're in! Great job on the audition tapes.
@DIY - Maybe you're right. Releasing and recording songs is more difficult on the Web, so it would be impractical to try and perform all their 206 tunes. Once we have a full band, maybe we should take a vote, just to hear everyone's opinions.
That's not Bandcamp

It should not be too long (of practical length, as we can't think of recording a whole bunch of songs; the band has not kicked off yet, and it's not up to us to know whether this will be a success). Then we can record the most popularly voted songs first, if it's feasible with orchestral over-dubbing or not, or reach a decision depending on what songs are easily recordable. Instead of releasing whole albums, which will take time, we can release each song one-by-one as a single.
Does that sound a good idea, All4one?
That's a good idea, the part about each member making a list of songs they want to record.

That's a good list.
I'm amazing at Hey Jude on the piano and guitar. I am even good at Revolution. Back in the USSR is a good choice too as it's rather simple chord work make the easy to play. To be honest, I know how to play a lot of the songs on this list which will make the job much easier. Your strong suggestions for me are (according to the ones that I'm good at or depending on whether these songs can be recorded with relative ease):
-Come Together (I can play bass for that really well; I know I'm not bassist for this collab, but it's a hard bass line and I've got plenty experience solo and with FC)
-Hard Day's Night
-Help!
-Here Comes the Sun (I play the main lead well)
-Hey Jude
-I Want to Hold Your Hand
-Love Me Do (does anyone here play mouth organ?)
-The Night Before
-Nowhere Man
-Paperback Writer
-Rain
-Revolution (the fast version, not the album Revolution I)
-Something (I've familiarised myself with the lead solo)
-Strawberry Fields Forever (acoustic version due to the added complex ochestral overdubs; it sounds amazing)
-Ticket to Ride (The intro and other fills in the song are fine with me)
-Yesterday (with acoustic guitar of course; simple chords with no string quartet)
-You're Going to Lose That Girl
-You've Got to Hide Your Love Away (I play this particularly well on acoustic)
As I mentioned before, Let It Be is considered one of their best songs ever, but I'd rather not do the song since I've covered it solo already. The complex harmonies for Rain, Paperback Writer, Help!, etc. will be hard to pull off, but if we manage it well, they'll sound amazing. I'm capable of lead and back-up singing too with a British accent and can imitate The Beatles' Liverpudlian accent if needed (although the only song in which a deliberate harsh accent is used by John is in Polythene Pam).
Eleanor Rigby is definitely out of the question because it is solely performed by a string quartet with only John, Paul and George singing the vocal parts. I have also made notes next to songs like Yesterday and Strawberry Fields Forever above suggesting how we should go about performing without worrying about the extra orchestral over-dubs. Anything in the Sgt. Pepper era is going to be hard as it was a period of massive over-dubs on all their songs, so I'm not sure if Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds will work out.
I would like to suggest some songs in addition to the ones I backed of jji7skyline's suggestions. The Abbey Road Medley (starting from You Never Give Me Your Money to Her Majesty) will be a great achievement, if everything clicks. It is very easy really on guitar and piano (Golden Slumbers sounds nice on piano) and although it may appear a hard string of songs, each time I jam with some of my friends it sounds very good (and that's live, not recorded). Think For Yourself has some of the best harmonies The Beatles ever produced. We should also have a go at that in my opinion. Because is simple on guitar (I learnt it recently), so a triple-tracked set of vocal tracks will be amazing (I'm not sure about the rest of the band's singing capabilities). I'm good at the lead part of Taxman. Here is a list of my other song suggestions, which I play well too:
-Helter Skelter (the hard rock lead is nice with the tone of my electric)
-A Day in the Life (smooth guitar and piano intro with gradual build-up of piano during the two bridges)
-While My Guitar Gently Weeps (great piano intro and lead guitar later on)
-Blackbird
-Oh Darling!
-Don't Let Me Down
-Dig A Pony
-I've Got A Feeling
-Get Back
-Taxman
-Hey Bulldog (stellar guitar and piano combo)
-In My Life (I've learnt the lead part and the piano solo, so I'm rather familiar with it)
-Ballad of John and Yoko
-Lady Madonna
-Drive My Car (Familiarised myself with opening guitar riff and song chords)
-Dear Prudence
-From Me to You
-Two of Us
-For You Blue
Clearly I am a huge Beatles fan.
So there we are, my additional suggestions. Some of the songs aren't necessarily their greatest, but are great album fillers which set the mood for their respective albums. Of course there are many good songs of their's that may be omitted, but there are so many hits, it's impossible to perform even all these. A lot of it is in the Let It Be era where a lot was recorded with the intention of it sounding live.
TL;DR: Sorry, this is one heck of a long post. I just needed to clarify these many things so we have an idea of what to do for each of the suggested songs if we go ahead.
Here is my own complete list of what songs we should do:
-Come Together
-Hard Day's Night
-Help!
-Here Comes the Sun
-Hey Jude
-I Want to Hold Your Hand
-Love Me Do
-The Night Before
-Nowhere Man
-Paperback Writer
-Rain
-Revolution
-Something
-Strawberry Fields Forever
-Ticket to Ride
-Yesterday
-You're Going to Lose That Girl
-You've Got to Hide Your Love Away
-Helter Skelter
-A Day in the Life
-While My Guitar Gently Weeps
-Blackbird
-Oh Darling!
-Don't Let Me Down
-Dig A Pony
-I've Got A Feeling
-Get Back
-Taxman
-Hey Bulldog
-In My Life
-Ballad of John and Yoko
-Lady Madonna
-Drive My Car
-Dear Prudence
-From Me to You
-Two of Us
-For You Blue
We can now base our decisions on which songs to record based on jji7skyline's and my list. Hope you like the suggestions, All4one!

Yeah, it's good you made your own list. But it's not that concise.
There are many songs in your list of Beatles songs that have complex over-dubs that I myself omitted because it is not going to be practical for an online band like this. Eleanor Rigby is great, but the instrumentation is solely performed by a string quartet consisting of two violins, a viola and a cello.
I seriously doubt we will be able to locate these instrumentalists with ease.
Then there are the songs from the Sgt. Pepper era which I was talking about earlier. True, it is the greatest pop concept album of all time (I agree) with great songs like Lovely Rita but the crew went crazy with over-dubs, since as George Martin mentioned, they had a 'license to kill' due to their great fame.
We cannot be too optimistic in our endeavours as these songs with over-dubs are going to be really impractical for us. Hope you understand.
Also, Beatles tribute bands usually tend to imitate the originals of The Beatles from Lennon/McCartney to Harrison and also Starkey. Being the big Beatles fan I am, I could not help but notice songs like Dizzy Miss Lizzie, Twist and Shout and Maggie Mae up there, which aren't their own tunes. While the first two are written by completely different people, Maggie Mae is a Liverpudlian pub song, that's why it goes under the credit of all four, who merely arranged it.
And do you really want to do Dig It? It's short and unless we release albums (which are out of our reach right now), it would be a pointless single.
Out of that list, there are many stuff we probably won't be able to do, but maybe as I suggested, we can do the acoustic version of Strawberry Fields Forever which is amazing, and make arrangements for the other complex pieces.
EDIT: I like the name The Walruses. That'll be my preference.

I think we can still release albums. They don't necessarily have to be replications of the actual Beatles albums - just albums with our own track listing that fall under the same era.
I also believe performing the covers is fine, because a large portion of the Beatles' covers ended up being the best known renditions.
You may be right about the overdubbing; that's probably the largest bump in the road. We'll see what we can do about that. We could simply ommit the songs from our setlist, or maybe we can rearrange the songs to suit our technical limits (like the suggestion you made for "A Day in the Life"). We'll try to do the best we can.

I personally don't think we should do the songs that The Beatles covered. If we are a Beatles tribute band, we should be covering all their original compositions.
So, shall we start with the Abbey Road Medley first? That'll be hard, but if we can get it done with, it'll be a huge achievement that will encourage us to continue the work. Also, since I'm quite familiar with the piano for You Never Give Me Your Money and Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight, all we really need is bass and drums. The guitar parts are easy too.

For starters, covers aren't original compositions, so I mentioned we shouldn't do what 'The Beatles covered'. Stop trying to prove a lame point that is wrong.

Good riddance.
You always seem to point out 'faults' of mine. These are highly unnecessary. You have a problem with me and I'm aware of that, ever since I became manager of Frozen Coco. I am aware the reason why. You have never failed to intervene and bring up most irritable situations.
You know, I really am awed by the envy you always seem to have against me, whether it be on the Frozen Coco thread or here. For me, this statement is redundant here:

I was merely stating a point; a suggestion. I never said I have the final say - of course I know All4one is manager. Suggestions are there to be considered, and you had no reason to start defending your own point. It was moot as I described later on.
The problem with you is that you keep posting, even when something is over and done with. I believe I have told you this so many times before. If you can't deal with me (when you were the one who began this stupid thing), it's good for all of us since I have neither seen you produce a worthy mix of tracks.
And prior to the start of this band, you and I had a discussion about The Beatles in which you clearly didn't know anything about them.
Alll4one, jji, I'm sure you are rather puzzled at this since you are obviously unaware of the past bad experiences I've had with veggieman. I'm sure we will find mixing engineers later on (even if we don't, I'm good at that as for Frozen Coco), so don't worry.
veggieman, I'm glad to have seen the back of you as I am convinced you would never work with me well as you tried with FC, objecting whenever you can with what I do or say.

Well, things have started sliding down the negative slippery slope, turning into more personal attacks It's not good.
No one is going to agree on anything; much like in real life with group project, people have a tendency to disagree over things. It's why we have leaders or mediators out to solve disputes or make a final decision, hopefully with little to no friction. In this case, I think it's best to leave the major decision making to All4one, he did create this collaboration, after all, there's really no need to start turning this into an agenda of launching attacks.

It is a lot of songs, but definitely not near to their 206 recorded songs!
We can decide on which songs to start with now I suppose. My proposal is the Abbey Road Medley. It will be fantastic to pull off something like that as I have familiarised myself with the entire guitar and piano parts.

Guys, seriously. To put Cheddar's words in a nutshell - chill out.
DIY, veggie, I know you two have had a long and unpleasant history, but if you listen to the Beatles' songs, you'll hear that a good amount of them regard not just peace and love, but also understanding one another, seeing past others' differences, and "coming together".
As a Beatles tribute band, I feel we should follow these as guidelines of ours. I understand if one of you still wants to quit the collab, but if you don't, can we try to work together, and listen to each other, in the name of the Beatles' music?

That's funny, 'cause that's what eventually led to their break-up. Any collaboration done online is not going to be easy and will bring about disagreements, but I feel this has gone much beyond the scope it should have.
I am not going to quit, but will continue to play and mix for you.
