Re: My Game works Online but not downloaded?

oh i see, The Rebels and GDI button won't work on Scratch but it does work online, Bizarre enough, the world is turning upside down as i thought Java is always the Bug expert.

This is definitely a Glitch, on either scratch or java.

Re: My Game works Online but not downloaded?

Tat's peculiar, the only time i've seen something work better online than download are the 1s1s projects, or a few mario projects. That on the other hand, is odd.

Re: My Game works Online but not downloaded?

I've always wondered if this ever happened! Now I know. It's like the time when some HTML worked in IE but not in Chrome. I never knew that could happen!

Edit: I think this is my 700th post!

Well the way scratch is, Scratch itself is Java and The Online player is Flash..

Not exactly.  Scratch 1.4 is written in Squeak, a version of SmallTalk.  The online player is either in Java or Flash, depending on which you pick.

The problem with the button seems to be that you are not assigning "faction" unless the mouse button is down.  In Scratch, you don't get an "On Click" event until the mouse button is released - so it's not going to be down by the time it hits your IF block.  You probably don't need that whole IF that is checking for touching mouse pointer and mouse down - you already know that somebody clicked on it  smile

Instead, use

wait until <condition>
script
or

forever if <condition>
script
instead of the

if <condition>
script
end
block.  tongue
