Transit of Venus
Who saw it?
I made a prototype pinhole camera, set up a concave mirror in front off a telescope as a plan B, got up early, and got cloud cover. 
Hardmaths-MacBook-Pro:~ Hardmath$ sudo make $(whoami) a sandwich

I saw it!
I got to go to the planetarium and see it there! I got free special glasses that are so dark you can only see the Sun!
Plus some people brought telescopes and it was so cool! Well, actually:
Volunteer: Here, you can look now.
Me: (sees how big the Sun is [actually a red sphere in the telescope] with Venus on it) Wow! That's so cool!
Volunteer: No it's not, it's 7,000 degrees Kelvin!
