Me, my brother and a friend are going to make our own Minecraft series! big_smile Not a Let's Play, but an fictional series, which we'll upload to YouTube. I'm currently writing the overall plot for the series.

I suggest going through earth's history, doing special events in MineCraft world. So, start with the creation of fire, and then do the stone age in the first season. Then, the last episode of the season will be a change in technology. They start to speak english (now you can do more than voiceovers). Keep doing this for 10 seasons, and you'll have done the entire human race's history.

Well what I came up with was for there to be an evil scientist trying to take over the world, and the good guys have to stop him.

Perhaps, but how something is done can make it a lot less cliche than it seems like at first. Something can have very cliche story elements, but be done very well so no one actually notices, or cares.

Thanks. smile I've written the plot outlines for the first two episodes, and some of the third. I'm expecting them to be about 4-5 minutes long each.

Hey, if you're going to write/build it, don't participate in the playthrough or recording of it.

The two hosts of the Yogscast don't actually know the story of Shadow of Israphel ahead of time. Their friends play the non-voiced characters and write it.
