Inserting GIFs

Can anyone give me a specific step-by-step intruction on doing so?

Into Scratch or the forums?

IF IN SCRATCH:

Open the costumes tab for the default sprite.
Drag the gif onto the gray space under the 2 current costumes.
Delete the 2 default cat costumes.
There you go!
