Yo,
I was on scratch making a game then when made another sprite I checked the costume and the text dissapiered!
A few minutes later scratch blacked out and I couldn't get back on it!
Is this a typical problem? Can I fix this? Please give me some information!
P.S. 1.3. did this.

save project, close scratch, close background apps you don't need, run scratch, open project, and open every costume that contains text in paint editor in order to refresh text.
the problem itself is called text bug, download 1.4 to reduce chance text bug to occur.

Yeah, if you find out costumes with wiped-out text, and open, hen save, you can recover it!

This happened to me on 1.4 yesterday. I cleared a text box IN a costume (paint) to edit it, and when I tried to retype, it gave me blank letters. I closed the costume, and all the text boxes were empty. But I just closed without saving and the project was fine.

Yes, it is a bug that has been very hard to fix. There are some work-arounds discussed here:
