Not really; anyone can discuss but we are the main perpetrators and I created this thread after we steered another thread offtopic with our arguing.

Yes we did :3
And I think that when Windows 8 starts to be bundled with every PC, pirating of Windows 7 will go right up, Windows 7 legit DVDs will become very expensive on eBay, and Macs will become the new personal computer for people who know what a proper desktop computer should look like.

You realise Windows 8 isn't just Metro, right? Most of it looks very similar to 7.

Well, even the desktop is now considered an "app" and you have to launch it from the "metro" start menu that's supposed to focus on "people rather than files". And fullscreen apps from the Metro start menu seems a step backward, just like the disappearance of the start button on the desktop. A step backwards to Windows 3.1 maybe?

I'm sure there are different settings you can set.
Still, I won't be using it and won't particularly care.

I've read that there isn't, and I've searched for it and there isn't so there
I won't either, but I brace myself for those who will
Do you know the ultimate test for OS usability? Get an adult who is used to Word 2003 and remembering keyboard shortcuts and things, then present them with the new OS.
Apparently there are Youtube videos of the reactions of such people
