No.  And the Alpha preview looked pretty messed up on my ipod.

They are also killing their Search Engine Optimization, Google doesnt read flash.  And how many times do you really want to download an update for flash, there's a new one practically every week, it's almost as annoying as windows is!  Recreating the flash player for the project viewer would be just as easy as well!

They're not making it a Flash site. It's still good ol' HTML. It's only the project viewer/editor. Tablet users are actually better supported now, because now it's only iOS that can't do anything. Before, no tablet could run the Scratch IDE.

I'm talking more about mobile devices rather than tablets

Um... they're really pretty much the same thing.

Re: Scratch 2.0 in HTML5

The WHOLE website isn't going to be written in Flash, just the Scratch program. And even now, you can't view projects with mobile devices. And the Flash Player doesn't have updates every week, and neither does Windows. Stop hating on everything.

It looked great on mine.

EDIT: Also, Google does work for Flash sites. Google "breadfish" if you don't believe me.

So then wouldn't that be 0% of the actual userbase? (assuming everyone on Scratch uses Scratch, or did at some point)

Re: Scratch 2.0 in HTML5

I'm fairly sure that the ST is in early stages of developing an HTML5 player. Check the wiki.

So long, 1.4.

Re: Scratch 2.0 in HTML5

Lol, I'm pretty sure everyone with a mobile device has access to a computer, how else would you charge iDevices with the default charger (USB Charger) ? tongue
And if you didn't have a computer, you would probably know nothing about Scratch. I support this to be written in JavaScript, but I think the 40% is WAY over-exaggerated. I say about 3% of Scratchers ONLY use mobile devices.
