I know cheat engine can mess up your world, but would it be possible to use it only to increase XP?

Just use single player commands to be safe. Plus, it has a lot of other functions, with no scripting required.

I always play legit, I just wanted to know if it was possible. I was going to use it for practice.

The PC version is waaaaaaaay better. For example, jungles, villages, strongholds, the end, dragons, abandoned mineshafts, silverfish, cats, endermen, and more.

But the xbox still has some cool stuff.

I tried to install one and I put in the modloader, the mod, and deleted META-INF but it just played as normal, no glitches, but no mod

Do you have a file that is called mod_**** and extends from BaseMod?

The PC version is marginally better. For example, jungles hideous, villages Not particularly useful until 1.3, strongholds Yes, very cool!, the end Excuse for an endgame, dragons same as end, abandoned mineshafts Makes mining too easy, silverfish pretter much grouped with strongholds, because of they're rarity and location based spawning i wouldn't consider it a "feature" but part of a bigger addition, cats The only redeeming factor of jungles, endermen overhyped but nice, and more.

But the xbox still has some cool stuff.

I probably played Minecraft more in 1.6/1.7
