I think Scratch 2.0 should develop off-site chatrooms where users can log in and join locked or public chat rooms. They would be live.

I believe the ST has already explicitly stated they don't want chat rooms, or PM, or the ability to lock certain people from posting on things, as it takes away from the freedom of the forums, or something like that. Sorry! hmm

You are allowed to make one outside of Scratch, should you have the resources, and then invite Scratcers to it, but the ST won't do it.
