I don't know how I did this but I did actually get the old fonts as a selector in Scratch 1.4 without hacking. I have Windows Vista, Internet Explorer 8 (VIII), and I'm not exactly sure about how many gigs of RAM I have. Does this happen to you? This is what happens:
- The following fonts, instead of the usuals, appear in the selector instead:
I. Aardvark
II. Cheri
III. ComicBook
IV. ComicSans
V. Emulator
VI. Letteromatic
VII. Parchment
VIII. PenMark
IX. Radaern
X. Scratch
XI. Textile
XII. Times
XIII. TimesBold
XIV. Typewriter
XV. Verdana
XVI. VerdanaBold
- Strangely enough, when you open the text editor, the normal default is still there, but is not an option in the selector!
- They still edit using Helvetica Bold when you type
- Except from Letteromatic, strangely enough, all the old fonts seem to open in the text editor correctly when you click ok and return to the editor!
- If you have the computer font, the projects open correctly, but still don't appear in the selector!
Feedback desperately needed!

Did you upgrade your version of Scratch? Perhaps a mistake happened in the installing process, in the part when it replaces information and they were the only fonts.
Hope this helps.

It happens. When another computer uses a font you don't have and make a project with it, when you download, and see the text, it will be in their font. Edit it, the text font name will say their font, but the text itself is Helvetica Bold (I think). If you click ok, then it reverts back to Helvetica Bold (i think)...

If you want the font then search "Scratch font" on Google you will eventually find a download for the font

The new fonts are only for Mac OS X (that's my computer type). If it's not at the current version, someone could rewrite your files and cause applications to download incorrectly. The current version of Internet Explorer is IE9 (Theomarr's is IE8). Try updating your browser. What version of Windows do you use? One of the greatest limitations of Windows Vista is that it has low memory, which can cause the Disappearing Text Bug. Did you experience the DTB before you uploaded 1.4? If yes, it's almost certainly Vista. When you uploaded 1.4, the version was still in its infancy, thus causing the Old Font Bug (that's what I'd call such a bug). That's my hypothesis.
