Shocking News

Okay. I'm sorry. The title is misleading ;3;

Anyway, I'm writing a script for something I may or may not be animating in Scratch when Scratch 2.0 comes out *eyes dart back and forth shadily* And I need help.

The main character, let's call her Jane, has just received terrible news. Horrible news. Like, "I'm sorry, but this insane person is going to blow up your house" bad news. Well, I've never gotten news like that. I think the worst news I ever got was that my cat died and that wasn't really surprising because I thought he died a long time ago.

So...

What was the most surprising news you have ever received and how did you react?

I'd prefer if it was more on the bad side, but it can be any kind of news that you could not believe.

Thank you!~

Re: Shocking News

I came home to find a hat sitting on my bed, getting ready to puke up a fur ball. That fur ball was my hamster. She was the good one. My hamster was on my bookshelf, all the way at the top. The cat can't climb it. I still have no clue...

Re: Shocking News

A close family member or friend dying is pretty shocking news for most people, especially if the death was pretty sudden and unexpected.

The second shocking news I could think of would probably be going to your doctor only to be given a diagnosis that you're really sick with something incurable and going to die soon.

Maybe you could give some background about Jane? It would be easier to come up with potential shocking material for her.

Oh- didn't even think of that *slaps head*

Jane is kind of... unreactive. She doesn't actually respond to most things, but in this kind of case she would at least be shocked, or inquire whether the news was completely accurate.

I kind of just wanted to see your guy's reactions and experiences as opposed to what you think Jane would do, but I'm open to that too!  smile

Re: Shocking News

Uh... I found out that I'd keep having check ups for the rest of my life-and that wouldn't stop the pain. I got kinda upset and nervy and couldn't sleep very well for a couple of days.

cause a bird and a fish could fall in love/but where would they live?
