The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Best video game in history in my opinion.
What do you think of the graphics?
What do you think of the gameplay?
Interaction with AI's and people?
Enemies?
Bosses?
Violent end of the final boss?
Puppet Ganon??

What do you think of the game in general?

Discuss Wind Waker.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

I made the biggest mistake of my life about six years ago - I gave the game away for money. Ah, naive times. It was a really good game from what I remember of it.

I hope it's a Wii U Virtual Console title.

It probably is, considering it's one of the Gamecube's best remembered games.

Also, the price for a hard copy is not very cheap. Since it's not a rare title, the reason for that would be a high demand and the fact that it isn't being made anymore.

So if they re-release a game that's in high demand, it equals money.

It took my friend to months to find it, and when he finally did it was $80.

I thought GameStop recently stopped selling GameCube games and hardware.

They still sell it online. I don't really know about this but if it's true, it only applies to the physical stores.

Fun fact: Origininally, there were supposed to be three extra dungeons (Inside Jabu-Jabu/Jabu-Jabu's water temple, Fire island and Ice island), and instead of the Magic Armor, an item called the water boots. They found the item in the game's code, but no one knows what they were for. O.o

More dungeons in the Fire and Ice temples?
Isnt Jabu that big sea spirit whale thing?

Hmm...
I'm guessing that Water Boots let you go below or across water, and you dont drown?

Weren't the Water Boots in Ocarina of Time, too? You had to use them in the Water Temple, I think. Maybe the game devs wanted to incorporate the boots as an OoT revisiting, but thought better of it after remembering that the Water Temple hasn't exactly grown well among Zelda fans.

I haven't exactly gotten to that part yet. I think their usage was pretty close to your guess - they let you swim underwater easier.

There are no water boots in OOT. They were the iron boots, and they let you sink to the bottom of water, and if you had a zora tunic, you could stay underwater as long as you wanted, which was pretty much REQUIRED for the water temple.
I had to reset my file because there's this one block that if you push it too early, you mess up the ENTIRE temple and you have to start the ENTIRE game over. Did it twice.  hmm
If you wanna avoid it, tip: There are points where you can adjust the water level.  DO NOT go out of order. Start from the ground floor and work your way up.
