Ok everyone I love scratch but I am running out of ideas. I haven't made a project in ages but I am making progress on a new rpg. Sadly this new project will take lots of time to perfect so can I have some motivation everyone D:

Re: Losing project motivation

Just don't quit, I'm sure you'll think of something!  wink  And be sure to post in show and tell once your RPG is out, I'd love to see it!

Please don't give up already...
This already happened to me once, just
wait and you'll see, you'll find enough ideas for
your rpg.

Re: Losing project motivation

I'm working on an Avatar RPG and its a lot of work, but i am not quitting, you shouldn't too. If Thomas Edison ever gave up, we would not have long lasting lightbulbs.

Re: Losing project motivation

RPG's are no simple task, especially for Scratch. I completely understand your problem. I have been Scratching for almost 7 years, and you wouldn't believe how many projects I've thrown away. If you would like to know any ideas I've had in the past I would be glad to share them with you, but unfortunately all the projects are deleted from my computer so I can't share any progress I've made. Here are some ideas I've had that I can remember:

- Doodle Shooter: Takes place in space, you control a spaceship armed with laser guns flying through space in a 2D sidescroller. Waves of enemies fly at you and you must destroy them while also navigating through countless astroids and other fun obstacles. All the graphics look like they're drawn with Crayons. To make the graphics like this, you can use the Crayon tool in Microsoft Paint for Windows 7.

- Reflector: A puzzle game where you must rotate mirrors to reflect a beam of light around the room to charge a battery which opens the door to the next level. Each level has mirrors around the room, which you can click to rotate. You must rotate them in the correct directions so that the beam of light goes through the room and touches a battery which powers a door to the exit.

- Wario Ware Poison: Based off the hit Nintendo game Wario Ware. In this game, there are a series of minigames you must complete in a row to rack up points and complete the level.

Re: Losing project motivation

Ok thank you everyone I think I can start working on my RPGs again and I'll post it when I'm done ( I've decided to make it a story series each with a battle or mini game at the end.
