Ok. Do the shop. We'll think about the Ai later.

Hey, I was googling some of my usernames and, by chance, I came across the old Team Earth discussion thread. I read through from where I had read a while ago and realised I had not posted on the thread or anything for quite a while. I saw that it was closed and followed it up to this new thread here.
I feel bad for being inactive on this thread and in this collab team.
Just to clear stuff up, I'm not inactive and I have always been active, Just not on this thread or on the forums. I'm also still making projects, Just not publishing them to the site frequently. I have made around 30 projects offline and I have developed some 'interesting' game engines, I will probably not release these any time soon or just not release them at all.
Personally I would like to continue to work with this group and collaboration, I have perfected my skills over the last year and have broadened my horizons to producing music and soundtracks in many different styles (including but not limited to: electronic, techno, house, rock, viking metal etc.).
I would love to continue working with this collab team and participate in current and future projects.
Sincerely,
-Metagross923 (lol)
(btw, sorry for long post )

Yes. Please.
I really just need a small speech-bubble-ish thing that pops up when you touch a planet with a shop. You would click on it to enter the shop.

Is there anything I should do?
Unless you want to program an AI fragment, not really. We wouldn't be able to import it yet, but it would save us having to do it later.

I'm going to publish my new update (with shop) soon. There will be a new sprite (So it's at the very bottom) that has a small speech bubble with a shopping cart inside. You can edit that (or any other sprite, like the laser).

Scratch is being weird and not running the scripts right. I'm going to try a few more things then upload the screwed-up version. It's not as if the game doesn't work, it's that the planets refuse to detect the spaceship. If anyone wants to try to make it work...

Uploaded. I also noticed a glitch that makes all of the star icons on the map vanish. I don't know if that's just my computer (it's going to get replaced soon, one way or another), but it might be worth looking at. As said earlier, there is a sprite to open the shop, but it doesn't appear when it's supposed to.

Thank you. I tryed it, but I can't find the shop. Is this a glitch or isn't the shop sign implemented on the map yet?

When I tested it, the shop sign would appear for about 1 second if you touched a shopping planet (Use Earth or Mars when testing), and then disappear. I didn't think you wanted the shop sign on the map. Wasn't the point of shopping in Elite that different planets have different deals based on the planet's agricultural/industrial advancements?

Uh. I always thought, the shop wouldn't be a planet itself (I never played the original one). I'd have nothing against that, but how could the player then know, which planet is a "destroy planet" and which is a "shopping planet"?

maybe, if the ship is close to a shop planet, a little notificaation flasher turns on and tells which planet has the shop?

No bad idea. Maybe on the weekend I'll find time to improve this.

That's what the shop sign's supposed to do. Any time you touch a shoppable planet it appears. Right now it's being weird though.

Well... I noticed that it took a few crashes to figure out which planet had the shop. Maybe if you are close to it, the icon appears. then you have to touch the planet to actually enter the shop?

If you want, improve the shop as it is suggested above.
