He didn't make that theme. I used to use that theme, but now I use my own theme.
Here is the theme and here is a red version.
EDIT: I like the red theme better than my own now.
EDIT: An aero version for Windows Vista, 7 and 8 users.
EDIT: No wait, this theme is way cooler than all the above listed themes.

OK, I'm running Scratch_new.swf with the correct HTML file on a server, and I still get nothing! FlashBlock (which I disabled afterwards) showed a Flash element. Does it matter that I'm running it on a local server on a VirtualBox simulation?

Shouldn't really matter what you're running it on. I can get a QuickPHP server to run in WINE and I can access Scratch 2.0 through Chrome and it is heaps better than downloading a 80 MB package.

everyone just go to http://alpha.scratch.mit.edu/scratchr2//static/Scratch_new.swf, open dev console (ctrl+shift+k on ff) and type document.body.childNodes[0].ASsetEditMode(true);

In the paint editor? It looks like the tools that would be able to are greyed out, so I think it can't be done presently.
