Hmmm... I think that a game should be immersive regardless or graphic quality, and this is something a lot of game designers forget these days, substituting plot and gameplay quality for good graphics - hiding it away. Take Minecraft for an example. You don't need to like it, but it is a hugely popular game that creates enormous immersivity without using graphics at all. Would Minecraft be just as immersive with stick figures and cell-shaded blocks? I think so. Would COD or a game like that be as immersive with stick figures and 16-bit graphics? I think not.
I own a wii and don't own an X-box but I think that the X-box is probably better. Firstly, most of the games I have played on the wii are party style games that aren't particularly well thought out whereas I have played some very well developed x-box games (many terrible ones too). All the same, I think the wii has the benfit of not being quite as extortionally overpriced as the x-box.

If you want to talk extortionally overpriced, the PS3 is probably the worst.

I used to play on my PS3, then I took a Wii to the knee!
I had to. Sorry.

People in my class are like: "Wiis are for babies", and all they talk about is Xbox. Wii is MUCH better. They're SO addicted to their Xboxes though. One time we had to time how much we used something, and I did my Wii. I had just gotten it, so obviously I played it a lot. So I got a few hours, and someone for their Xbox got about 40-48 hours! (I forget, but I know it's 40 something)

I don't care if it's 1080p, 720p, 240p, or even negative 1000p. It doesn't matter how many p's a console has if the games aren't fun. Not saying PS3 games aren't fun, but the majority of the fun ones are also available on the 360, a system that retails for $200 less at this point in time. The Wii, unlike the 360 and PS3 actually has... *gasp* THE COMPANY GETTING OF THEIR LAZY BUTTS AND MAKING THEIR OWN FREAKING GAMES!
+1
And the games are awesome! I got Wii Party, and it's one of my favorite games that I have!

Yeah. And there aren't Final Fantasy games for Wii . And because Square Enix will be coming out with an HD (i.e. not Wii) remake of an old game. The Wii is still good though.

Generally speaking, a game like Wii Party will not change the Wii haters' (ugh I hate myself now for using that word) minds.
Not saying it's a bad game, it's just the Wii-hating croud will generally scoff at it.

That too.

It's got pretty good games, but I still like the PS3's higher quality games and I find that a lot of things can't really be done with a near-purely motion-based system; for example, CoD and Kingdom Hearts (at first it might seem a good idea, but the menu navigation and camera controls would just be messy, and then Attack is really a menu command rather than button-based thing like Jump or Guard). The tablet in the Wii U might- might, mind you- fix that. Besides that, it's good, yeah.

Let's also remember the almost Scratch-like (minus aimed at beginners and kids who've never programmed before) user-created software. There ARE some things that Xboxes can do. I'm not trying to be a Wii-hater. I like Wii. I just respect Xbox as well.
