Yes it is.
I found it somehow addicting to try to switch characters with my feet, though. That was... really the only fun part. I much prefer the original Spyro games thank you very much.

A little late for this, but definitely the laser path. It's so powerful that it's scary. I only know of two Skylanders that can beat Drobot with this path. Bash, if you take his first upgrade path, and Sunburn, if you take his first upgrade path and..um...play him incredibly well.
So why the first upgrade path? Well...
Drobot can shoot rapid fire lasers out of his eyes already. All you have to do is hold down a button. Without picking an upgrade path, Drobot already gets an upgrade to increase the damage done by lasers, which is something to be wary of in battle mode should you be facing Drobot.
Now, pick that upgrade path to increase the damage done by lasers so much that you will be almost unstoppable. The upgrades are making the lasers do even MORE damage, making them explode, (to do..yes..more damage) and finally... you shoot FOUR lasers at a time.
As you can see, Drobot is one of the most powerful Skylanders in the game, rivaled (as far as I know) only by Bash, who can do a whopping 240 damage with the right upgrade.

I haven't seen much good out of spyro after the first 3 games
but the good reactions here give me hope
