Re: Square Two Inc. Collab Topic

No, that's never happened to me, but I know how it feels to be working on a song and then have it be cut out from under you, its not fun  sad

I like your chords.  Personally, I would probably make it longer, but that's your choice, not mine.  What's interesting about your chords is that, if you're in C major, they're: I, V, vi, iii.  But, you could also be in A minor, in which case they'd be: III, VII, i, v.

In neither one do you end "V-I" (the most common type of ending), but I personally have an affinity towards iii, I, so I'm not going to tell you to change it  tongue .

Switching from what I learned to what I feel:

I'm not sure if it will fit the "minor feel" you want, but that's an abstraction, and, since it is kind of balanced between minor and major, I'm guessing it will go just about any way you want it to go (not much personal experience here, just guessing xD).

Hope Müsescore is back up and running for you  smile

Thanks. I didn't end with the chords "V-I" because I want the songs to loop, so there's no real ending. Also, I don't think it will sound minor, either. This one is sounding calm, and not happy or sad.
MuseScore still isn't working. I think i'll look it up to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Re: Square Two Inc. Collab Topic

Ok, i fixed musescore, and i'm posting the new song.

It has 8 chords in the progression instead of 4. They are:
CM, GM, Am, Em, CM, Em, Am, CM.

Feel free to criticize me.  tongue

It's supposed to loop, so the ending is quite lame.

It's not really sad or happy, it seems to have mixed feeling throughout the song. It's noit as good as the first, but better than the second. I will give a link soon.

Okay, as of right now, we have all of the members of the company we need. Clank and I have been beginning to start the base project. This will truly be one of the best games scratch will have to offer.

Bear in mind that this is a work in progress.  There are still quite a few awkward parts.  Still, I'm really excited about this and think it has really good potential.

This is a great piece, how long did it take you to compose this?
I love all of the layers in harmony, and the ending left me stunned. Amazing job.

Thanks!  If you had criticized it I would have felt really deflated  tongue

I'm not sure how long it took me.  It is kind of deceptive since the 4-measure phrase is repeated so much, and often it is exact duplication.  I started it this morning.  To be honest, it is a combination of skill (I say modestly) and quite a bit of luck + instrument choice.  For instance the key change happened almost completely by accident xD.  I was just trying to add an augmented triad of the relative minor key (because I didn't want it to become repetitive, and I had just written something with an augmented three chord last night and it sounded really cool!), and it just stopped sounding like C major  big_smile .

Re: Square Two Inc. Collab Topic

If this is for scratch 2.0 the programers will need access to scratch 2.0.
I’m not sure what else to do for images.

actually, the people programming the base right now can make all of the parts to it that don't need cloud variables or cloning, and then they can add the new features to it when 2.0 comes out.

It might be a long time before scratch 2.0 comes out, but I see what you mean.
