I'm sorry, but as touching as a good Spike - Rarity ship is, I don't really consider it a likely situation. Ships, when you get down to it, are all just opinion, and personally I fully recognize that my favorite ships are entirely implausible.yeah. i still don't get TwilightxTrixie. THEY'RE. FLIPPING. ENEMIES. It's almost as stupid as all the IZ pairings.
But... ;_;
TwiPie and RainbowPie are better. Twixie is completely implausible. They strongly dislike each other.
AppleDash is good too.

On-topic, does anypony want Steven Magnet to be in another episode? he was HILARIOUS.
I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing him, although he was pretty clearly intended as a one-shot character. Maybe a background shot or a mention or something.
Yeah. FOR PETES SAKE, HE WAS THE FLIPPIN' LOCH NESS MONSTER...I think.

I like DerpyxDr. Whooves.
...Not saying I'm a fan of shipping.

No, people can still talk about it if they want. It's a lot more relevant than things that were being said before.

I think people are putting too much in the saying 'opposites attract'

Oh, alright...
...I also don't get CelestiaxDiscord. I mean, I GUESS it kind of makes sense that they liked eachother then had a rough break-up, but I'm not buying it.

I think you kind of just have to accept shipping just doesn't make sense in so many cases.

I showed my friend "Epic Cupcake Time" without knowing what it was. With the speakers loud. And her parents in the room.
We're not allowed on youtube at her house anymore.

Pretty much, yes. Again, lots of ships are highly unlikely. Ships of characters with opposing personalities, as mentioned before, are great IMO not because they're likely to happen but because the conflict between the two tends to be funny and leaves room for character development - OctaScratch fics such as Allegrezza, for instance.

Aw, Epic Cupcake Time wasn't so bad. Really, what was so objectionable about it? I suppose the swearing?

Yeah. We got kicked off the CP when she said "TIME TO BAKE THESE B****S."

Oh ok
So how old do you consider to be out of the target demo? (continuing survey) (BTW, I'm almost 12)
I'd say the target demo is kids 10 and under (not necessarily girls, I find FiM ruptured the tradition of My Little Pony being a really girly show, exactly why it now appeals to people other than little girls). Anything above is out of the target demographic.

As I've said in another topic, all shipping is poorly written.
Hey, I do despise shipping as much as you do, but what you just said is a pretty big generalization. A skilled writer could pull off romance between pre-existing fictional characters quite well, not all shipfics are written by lonely pre-teens who recently found out about the show.

I don't literally tear up at that part, but it's quite emotional, so I see why anyone would.

Yeah, i think it's her voice.
And the context, too. I imagine Cadence felt awful at that time.

Yeah. The sad thing is the comparison to reality. A woman is two-timed by a jealous rival and eventually her dream day is ruined. Now watch the episode knowing that and try not to cry.
