Class Project: Underwater game

I would like to create levels in this game. The objective is to collect different species of fish. Some more dangerous than others. The "hotshortshark" (presented in level 1&2)is the most mild creature and is easily collected, however the pentaquid and the PAWRS required to be tranquilized or "tamed" to be caught. The first introduction of the pentaquid will be levels 2&3 while the RAWRS will be levels 3&4.

Feel free to post comments as well as suggests on my script. I am at a very beginner level in developing the scripts for this game.

I deeply appreciate it.  smile

I agree with KrisMa! Although i can suggest using the broadcast script to change levels, it seems to work perfectly for me and my games. More info! xD

Using variables are much faster.

Re: Class Project: Underwater game

Thank you for the replies  smile  , and I'll be honest, there's a lot of work here.
My first hope is to
1) Create 4 levels/stages (for gameplay, the first and last level are only intro and game over stages) that will transition better. I've tried broadcast, but it just hasn't worked for me in the past.

Level 1: An intro stage where the protagonist will catch the first fish (hotshorts-) (with layout 1- which will hurt the player if they touch it). Once the fish is touched, it will take you to level 2.

Level 2: Layout 1 will still have the same function as level 1, however, the rest of the hotshorts fish sprites will appear, moving much faster while a poisonous pentaquid moves around, trying to disrupt your process of collecting the fish. Once you have collected all the fish, you must touch the "rusted harpoon" sprite to move on to level 3.

Level 3: The rest of the Pentaquid sprites appear with 2 new enemies, which are the RAWRS. With the harpoon that was collected from level 2, you can now use it to tame only the Pentaquids and collect them. To make the transition from level 3 to level 4, you would touch the trident (like an upgrade) which will allow you to collect the RAWRS for level 4.

Level 4: Here is where the rest of the RAWR sprites would appear and they are tamed and caught (I guess it would be a one step process with touching the Jacque sprite), like a bonus easy stage.

This is my specifics and I apologize if this is  still vague. I am trying to do these actions and I've done all the coding I can, and yet I still can't do it.
I also apologize for the length of this message. If someone can solve this problem for me will have my undying gratitude.

I was wondering, could you please upload the script so we can check it out?  smile
