The occupy flash petition
I found a website (occupyflash.org) that is against flash, just like I am. So, let's start a petition to rid scratch of flash, and make it in HTML5, PHP, or whatever other scripting language. Mods, move if necessary. Spread the word! Tell your friends to uninstall flash, tell website owners to use a different language, and join the fight! This website isnt by me, but is something I support. Uninstall flash today, and rid the world of flash. Sign by commenting below.

on the next www.eternityinc-official.com website update, I will be removing the option to view our projects in flash as part of the occupy flash movement.

yes, I would like to see this. And, rid scratch of flash altogether. I may sound kind of devious, but it's just something I oppose, and dislike. You wouldn't happen to want to sign, would you?

What is it you dislike about Flash, exactly? I get this feeling you may be an apple user since their portable products are among the few things that don't support it.
I think you're a bit late to petition for Scratch 2.0 to be made in HTML5 Canvas though - it's waaay too far into development for them to consider changing their minds.

Yes, flash is bad for web designing, but it one of the better and easier options for programming. Also, the internet is still a bit too dependant on flash for someone to be able to uninstall it without a number of problems. I guess I'll sign, but I'm not uninstalling flash (IDK if you can even uninstall it from Chrome....)
(And would you want Scratch to go back to Java and Squeak? You shouldn't, both are slow and limited)

Nah, I don't want to get rid of Flash, as I'm a DS curator (so I have to view projects a lot) and I really dislike the Java player.
