Welcome to scratch lenamarie! First of all getting onto the front page isn't the point of scratch (I know, I've got my projects front paged and it isn't that great xD). but if you really want to the best thing to do is to:
~Make good projects that are fun
~Be nice to others
~Don't spam, troll, or be mean
~Wait some time, this might be annoying to hear but it works (it did for me)
~Have fun, as cliche as this sounds it's true 
(by the way the games that I made that have been front paged or are in top charts are my ASDF series and a 3d Plane Simulator called Pilot Ace:3D)

Frankly speaking, you need good projects. 
I've been front paged 5 or 6 times.
