I know chatroom projects won't be allowed, but what about PMing? I'm planning on making one, but only if it's allowed. It'd have full censoring, and the passwords to the accounts would use a method of hashing that's impossible to unhash.

What do you mean? A PM system in a project?

uhhh, how would u do that in a project? I know about the voting/cloud variable stuff, but how could u do multiplayer or any of that? and what's hashing? U mean, hacking?

hashing is a type of encryption.
Theoretically, it is only one-way

Communication in projects could simply be done by adding lines to a list, and inserting the username with a colon in front of it (of course, you could pretend to be anyone). But I think RedRocker227 isn't talking about Scratch, but a separate site or feature on the site for PMing.

no, he meant a PM system inside scratch.
i guess this could be nice, but you'll have to encrypt your messages, so see inside won't work
wanna collab when s2.0 comes out?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but yes, it would. I've already figured out how it'd be done.

Maybe as a super challenge I'd let people report them, then, and then I, as an Admin, could view reports... I'm getting my hopes up too much here.

It might be possible, but such kinds of unmonitored communication could be abused, so keep that in mind.
If much abuse becomes of this idea, anyhow, it's quite possible the Scratch Team would remove it due to its potential to spiral out of control.

If there's a lot of abuse, I'll see if I could add a report feature.

Ohh, I see. Thanks for the idea.

Well, they have no problem with Chat.PY so, why not?

I'm still not really understanding what you mean by this

PMing in Scratch. As in, you make an account and then you log in and you can send messages to other users.

If it's just PMing, then the ST probably wouldn't allow it. If you can do it in a project (which is what I'm confused about) then it'd probably be okay
