Soo... My password for my FTP account won't work.
I am using FileZilla and my account was issued to me by 000webhost.
I have tried my password over and over (and changed it over and over) but nothing seems to work.
Could someone give me some support?

Are you sure you are using the right username and host name? I've done that before.
Almost sure. The host name is the host you use, right?

Most websites let you send an email resetting your password...

I've found that some hosting providers only support alpha-numeric passwords (A-Z, a-z, 0-9). Maybe that might be your problem?

I thought for 000webhost, the FTP username/account was different to the main account passsword. Just a thought

Nope. You will need to check the FTP Access portion in your administrative panel.

It said the host name was stackmod.com.
I put that and my password and got:
Status: Waiting to retry... Status: Resolving address of stackmod.com Status: Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NODATA - No address associated with nodename". Error: Could not connect to server
Meanwhile, when I use my host as www.000webhost.com I get:
Status: Resolving address of www.000webhost.com Status: Connecting to 208.43.173.207:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Response: 220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [privsep] [TLS] ---------- Response: 220-You are user number 1 of 50 allowed. Response: 220-Local time is now 09:36. Server port: 21. Response: 220-This is a private system - No anonymous login Response: 220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server. Response: 220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity. Command: USER a5346304 Response: 331 User a5346304 OK. Password required Command: PASS ******** Response: 530 Login authentication failed Error: Critical error Error: Could not connect to server

The domain of your site given to you by 000webhost is what you need to put in hostname.
example:
If my domain was scratch.site19.com, I would make the hostname scratch.site19.com.

Yeah, or the IP of the site.

Oh my gosh, I used the IP and it worked! Thanks so much veggieman!

You can also put the IP in your hosts file... That's what I do when my domain is registering.
