I once tried to keep a creeper as a pet. I didn't know they could see me over 1-high fence (passive mobs can't, even if they're 2 blocks high). Guess what happened. Go 'head. Try.

Yes, pigs do escape frequently. I left the gate open for (literately) 2 seconds, and they all came out of the pen!

I think of alternatives to common structures in MC in my spare time.  I WAS (and still am; trying to figure out a way to make lava go up) considering instead of a door, a flow of lava that's redirected by a piston, meaning that it's unbreakable.  Then I thought about what would happen to your pet that you keep at home....  LOL.

I think reinstalling Java is the only solution. Unless its something to do with your computer not being compatible with Java. (which is unlikely)

It worked absolutely perfectly until it got the 'could not create Java virtual Machine' Error. I went on holiday and when I came back, it was fixed, but this happened. I have re-installed Java millions of times, all different versions 64 bit and 32 bit. Still, nothing. My laptp isn't THAT slow, and it does have Tekkit, so it's not all bad. Yet, I feel something missing.

Not unless you're trying to see lighting at night in your new building. That's the only thing I use TMI for, and sometimes to clear my inventory.
