As the original topic "Scratch 2.0 prototype: Biggest Concerns" has been closed (I don't understand why) I created this new topic to discuss ideas and concerns about what you think of the new prototype.

First new concern: moving around blocks and embed them inside other blocks is even more difficult in Scratch 2.0 than it is now in Scratch 1.4. But there is an excellent and perfectly working strategy to solve this problem: making blocks "translucent" (that is, transparent) when they are dragged. In this way seeing the white halo around the argument you want to put the block inside is really easy, it will be visible indeed right through the block. Incidentally, this is exactly the same strategy used by BYOB (http://byob.berkeley.edu).

Great idea but you should post this in the Scratch Suggestions when more Scratchers view this. But I support anyway.

As I said, the purpose of the prototype was showing the new features of Scratch. I'm sure that the Scratch team would be more than happy of knowing what are the prototype weaknesses way before the final version is released.

I would do that, but I already spent all my votes

Ok then. It's settled. Let's get back to the topic.
