The script area seems very narrow, so that I have to constantly page down to see what I'm doing. For simple scripts, this is no problem, but for complex games, you may have to scroll down through hundreds of lines of code. Is there a way to print out the script area so you can at least see all the code right in front of you?
Also, can the stage be made a bit larger?

If you right-click the background of the script area, you'll have the option to save a picture of the scripts. You can also click on the icons in the upper-right hand corner of the screen to change the size of the presentation screen (and therefore, the area available for coding). I don't think the stage's size can change from 480x360. Sprites can technically be larger, but still won't display past the 480x360 screen. This means that all projects fit the same dimensions.

You can switch to small stage mode and get extra area for scripting.

I think this should belong in the suggestions forums, as I don't see much a question in this post. I'll report it so a mod can move it.

Well the first post is directly asking how to view large scripts more easily and how to expand the scripts area. And it seems to me that the question has been answered.
Also jsoares, in Scratch 2.0 you might be able to zoom in (and zoom out) of scripts - so that might help with your situation.
