Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

Why wouldn't we be anti-COD?
It's the exact same game, every release, with maybe 1 new gamemode.  Camper-filled, broken, confusing, multiplayer with slightly changed weapons every new game, and let's not forget the total focus on realism that they have.
Video games are supposed to be an escape from reality, not a different one.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 should even have Call of Duty in the title.

Neither should Modern Warfare games.

CoD was a historical shooter and that's how it should have stayed. It used to be so GOOD. Now it's just like every other FPS on the market.

It's a good game, so stop hating on it.  This actually reminds me of Minecraft.  Remember a while back pretty much everyone hated Minecraft?

Why are 10 year olds playing bloody, Ultra violent, cuss filled, games. The ratings are there for a reason.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

I enjoyed Black Ops. The storyline was actually pretty cool, Wager Matches were the only reason I played multiplayer, I used theater a lot more often than I thought I would, and zombies was great fun, especially with Assension and Moon.

Will the price for MW3 go back down to 40$?

Absolutely not.
MW2 is still $60 at most gamestops and $50 used.

Meh. I don't really care for shooters. And as FunDude said, pretty much everyone here shouldn't be playing them anyway. (And don't accuse me of flaming, flaming would be "OMG I LIEK TOTZ HAT COD!!!!111!!five!". There's a difference between that and stating an opinion.)

I was going to buy MW3 at Walmart as it was 40$ and when I saw it, my mom said we'd get it next time and the price would be even lower. I went back the next time and it went back up to 60$, though MW2 is 30 dollars over here.

I prefer to buy games at Walmart where I won't get ripped off.

Due to neurological differences (is it considered neurology when it's dealing with wiring and a few bits of a can opener?), I don't know much about the average 10 year old kid, but if a 10 year old kid can comfortably play a game like that, and not be influenced, I don't see the problem.

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

I don't care for Call of Duty. I guess I sort of liked the first few, but I was never really a shooter person. Plus, doesn't ANYONE else think that the games for the XBOX-360 are polluted with FPS and generic sports titles that are the same game every single freaking year? (I'm looking at YOU, Entertainment Arts!)

Lol, Entertainment Arts? I think you mean Electronic Arts. All my favorite games are published by EA. The games they release are always at the top of their class. NeedForSpeed, Battlefield, Medal of Honor, Crysis, Mass Effect, Burnout, etc. are all awesome titles published by EA.
Can't hate em' for being the best at what they do.[/offtopic]

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

Black ops 2 looks epic. Treyarch finally listened to what everyone was saying and made a new idea. An now everyone is hating on them.
What killstreaks/ pointsreaks do you think should be in the game? I reckon a balanced setup which doesn't give overpowered rewards for high killstreaks would be best.
1 point will be awared for a kill
1 point for destroying enemy vehicle
2 points for capturing a flag/arming or defusing bomb/ any objective.
Pointstreaks do not stack.

Before you read the list, I would like to point out a couple of things:
-No EMP. It's annoying.
-No Counter- UAV. Having your radar jammed is annoying. Has also been replaced by Blackbird and Aerial Assault Drone.
-There will be a specialist strike package. It will award 1 perk every 2 kills up until 10 kills. At 10 kills, all perks are activated.
-Very few vehicles carry flares. Flares are annoying and stop the fludity of the game. It also adds an extra skill element to the game- some vehicles can be moved by the player behind a building to dodge a rocket.
-No MOAB/ Nuke
- No poinstreaks above 11 (This allows all players to experience all poinstreaks) The 11 pointstreaks are also centered around team support, instead of getting loads of kills.

3 points: UAV Recon- Shows enemies on minimap for 30 seconds, can be countered by Ghost. Can be shot down, no flares.
4 points: Aerial Assault Drone- Controllable UAV. Armed with 2 rockets. Rockets can lock on to any aerial vehicle, and cannot be fired without lock-on. They cannot lock on to infantry, making this an anti- vehicle pointstreak. Can be shot down, 0 flares.
4 Points: Supply Drop- Drops a box filled with ammo. Completely refills ammo, grenades, and equipment such as claymores. Can resupply 5 friendly players, including the player who called it in. 50 points is given if a team mate resupplies from the crate. The crate doesn't dissappear until all of the ammo has been collected.
5 points: Airstrike- Precision airstrike like in Modern Warfare games. Player selects location and direction.
5 points: Care Package- Works like every other COD game, but the heli that drops the package will arrive in 1.5 seconds of it being called (minimising the time spent away from the action) and can be collected by the player who called it in instantly. Will not contain ammo.
6 Points: Scope- Scope which allows the user to see enemies through walls. Can be attached and detached from weapon at will. Is not lost when player dies- instead, expires after 45 seconds of being in use. Time which it is unattached to the player's weapon doesn't count towards this time.
7 Points: Attack Helicopter- Fully controllable attack heli. Player switches to pilot's view when called in. Player can move heli around the map, and fire a machine gun. Machine gun deals decent damage, but the player must wait 3 seconds after each kill before firing again to prevent overpowering. Carries no flares.
7 Points: CLAW- The tank which was seen in the trailer. Armed with a machine gun for use against infantry and a rocket launcher which must be locked on to an enemy CLAW before firing. (prevents noob tubing) Moves fairly slowly. Requires 2 rocket hits to destroy. Can also capture flags in Domination if it sits on one. Slow turning speed, so vunerable from behind.
7 Points: Advanced Care Package- Care package which can be re- rolled. Chances of a higher reward are greater on re- roll. Cannot be stolen by enemy- will blow up (giving player who called it in the reward it contained) if an enemy tries to steal it.
9 Points: Harrier Strike- Similar to the reward from MW2. (Treyarch can think of the futuristic version of the harriers). Two harriers airstrike a location. Player controls third harrier- can move slowly around the map, fire machine gun at infantry (with 1 second delay between kills to prevent overpowering), and has missiles which can lock on to enemy vehicles (both ground + air) Carries 1 set of flares.
11 Points: Emergency Airdrop- Another MW2 based one. Plane will drop 4 care packages and 1 ammo drop. Crates cannot be stolen by enemy (will blow up giving the player who called it in the reward) or re- rolled.
11 Points: Blackbird. Shows enemy position and direction on minimap. Cannot be countered by anything or shot down. Active for 1 minute. Jams enemy radar for the first 30 seconds of its duration.

If you have any suggestions on how to improve this, reply to this post. I will figure out some way of getting this to Treyarch if i get positive feedback.
