Apputunaria (pronounced APP-YUH-TOO-NAIR-EE-UH) is a game that has been highly inspired by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but WILL OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO BLOOD OR GORE. It is going to be a role playing game, in which the player travels far from home to seek new land. While walking, you unexpectedly get captured by bandits. From then, you wake up in a wooden cage deep inside a cave. You hear the bandits talking. They are talking about how they are going to capture all travellers and make them their slaves. Then right when they start talking about enslaving all of Apputunaria, knights rush in to the cave and rescue you. Only one of the knights live, and he opens the cage you are in. From there on, you get weapons and he leads you out of the cave. He says you are good in combat and to join [some sort of guild/group thing]. Then you learn about the [some sort of enemy guild/group thing] and try to stop it from enslaving Apputunaria. (Apputunaria is the name of the country. You play in a certain area, but people sometimes talk about outside towns and villages in other key areas of Apputunaria.) To accomplish making this, I will need some people to help and collaborate, or offer mediaval-type music, effects, or graphics. Here are the current lists of users:
Owner (cannot join as owner!):

Co-Owner (no more slots available for this):
Richard2000

WE NEED HELP! (MUST READ TO JOIN)
If you are talented with top view nonscrolling (when touching a certain edge and a trigger like clicking 'go north' switch area) games and scripting, then we need you! ESPECIALLY if you are good at Skyrim-type or medieval-type games! Post below if you want a position! P.S. You must name sprites and put lots of comments in scripting, especially in complex parts. This makes it easier to understand and collaborate together.

P.S. I want the graphics to be like this: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/XComputers/2550368
Download and zoom in on both of the character's costumes. The smaller costume was the original, but it is too small. That costume might be for children in Apputunaria. The bigger costume would be your character's costume. The rocks in the corner will be scripted for when the character touches the lowest rock's color, it is a certain size. When touching the next biggest rock's color, the character is a bigger size, and so on.

I just got off playing Skyrim (it froze ), to find someone post on my forum the day I created it! Wow, that's never happened to me before, but this is my second forum I have ever created. Anyways, would you like to join the list of people helping to collaborate, or just give some sprites? I have not released any versions of Apputunaria other than the link through the second post on this forum. I am trying to get the graphics and scripting down first, so I haven't even gathered much. Please give me a link and tell me if you want to join or not in the forums.

Update on story: The knights don't rush in the cave until right when the bandits start talking about enslaving the country of Apputunaria.

Warning! Also, Apputunaria Will Not Allow Stealing Items. If You Are Not Supposed To Take An Item, It's Name Will Show In Red And When You Try To Take It It Plays A Low-toned Beep(ish) Type Sound And Will Stay Where It Is.

I am interested in becoming the co owner. I would like to write the storyline and some of the things the characters and monsters shall say. How about some of the places?

Sure! Soon you can do something, I am probably going to upload the alpha 0.0.1 soon. I am almost done making the main menu.

Here is the first version's beta: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/XComputers/2587884
You are also now Co-Owner, so good luck! The graphics might be a bit hard to mimic, but other than that, it should be pretty simple.

I am thinking about making this game functional and 3D, with some help from Richard2000. When you read this Richard2000, do you think it would be possible? It would be very much like The Elder Scrolls, and because you are making the first elder scrolls, you might have some experience with this kind of stuff. Think you are up for the challenge?

Sadly, I have NO knowledge about 3-D. However, It would be wise to look into the scratch Wiki. They have some topics about 3-D.

Apputunaria is already the name of the game and country, but Aria and Tunaria sound cool. I think that tuna lake could be called Tunaria Lake and it could be located near the monument. Death dungeon should be Darkon's Cave and could be a cave filled with bandits in traps. Actually, now that I think about it, the cave from the beginning of the story should be called Darkon's Cave. Just take out Apputunaria city, and rename what I had the idea. I like the other ones better because this game is supposed to be like the elder scrolls, and be based off of medieval[ish] times.

I am working on 0.0.3 right now.

New place: Telrace. If you are from there, you are a Telran.

I will release 0.0.3 soon! Also, The name was changed to Apputunaria I: The Telran Book. This Apputunaria game takes place in Telrace, but you can choose your character and where he is from. Also, Apputunaria = Empire, Telrace = Providence, Inside Telrace = Village or a kingdom. You may hear about other providences in Apputunaria, but you never actually go to them.

I am about to release Apputunaria I: The Telran Book Alpha 0.0.3, either later today or tomorrow.

Apputunaria I: The Telran Book Alpha 0.0.3 was just released! BTW it has no actual gameplay, I will add the gameplay in 0.0.4, and it should be fully debugged by 0.0.5, and with more things in it.

I can do programming, if need be, I have some medieval graphical sources, if you know what I mean.
Keep in mind scratch isn't unlimited in memory. So we may have to divide this into different parts.
and AI if you don't get enough people, i'd like to give my own creations their intelligence.
Oh, and there is no way possible to get this to become 3D, sorry.
it's not that 3D is impossible with scratch, but something like this in 3D is, not enough scratch memory and stuff. I suppose just with somewhat 3D sprites is simple enough.
