I like how the green flag thing in the center shows up so that the project doesn't start until you want it to

SCRAAATCH TEEEEAAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh. That isn't of immediate importance, and as sci said they'll be adding them later. Remember, this is just a prototype and it may be many months before Scratch 2.0 is released.
Or years.

When I delete a script while it's running it keeps running even though it's gone.

How do you stop a sprite from visually turning like you can do in 1.4?

My project has 330ish views, but with scratch 2.0 it says I have 18 views. I modified it about a week ago, but it says last modified January 23, 2012. Why is this happening?
The prototype only includes projects and statistics through January 2012. But don't worry: the official version of Scratch 2.0 (due later this year) will have up-to-date information on all projects.

I think they said it would be this year.
At least, that's what I read last year.

The database of the alpha site was copied from the old site in January. It is not up to date.

I just had an idea: since all of scratch 2.0 runs on flash, can we have a block like this:
code: [Insert flash coding here]this would bake it so that we could type flash code into our project, so if there isn't a block that will do what we want, we could code it to do something. could this happen? That's a cool idea - I think I've seen it in some other flash game-making programs like Stencyl. But I don't think it will be added because it will make the program less accessible to everyone. Some people will have the advantage that they know flash and others don't, and it will make advanced projects more difficult to understand for learning Scratchers.
the goal of scratch is to get kids interested in programming, right? the way I see it, that block would be a little extra motivation to learn coding.

How did you upload a scratch 2.0 prototyp project?
And how you dowload it?
Click "more" and click "upload local file" and locate a 1.4 project and open it. Click "save to local file" to save it. But you can not post it or open it in Scratch 1.4.

Then what's the use? Just wait until 2.0 comes out? P.S. I added italics and boldness to highlight the part I was responding to.

You can start on it in the prototype and post it in the final. It will motivate you to work on it a little longer
