So? Once you learn Stencyl, you can move on from there.

Re: Programming Languages Discussion

There's always Alice (drag-and-drop 3D programming) and WaterBear (drag-and-drop JavaScript).
Or, CoffeeScript.

Re: Programming Languages Discussion

Greenfoot, maybe? I've never tried myself (I jumped from Scratch to C++ XD), but according to the website, it's designed for beginners and it's visual and interactive so that might be something that has a reasonable learning curve.  smile

Re: Programming Languages Discussion

You might be intrested in learning how to make apps? It takes a lot of patience to get the whole thing on to you computer at first but then it goes pretty fast. If you are interested I shall give you the link.

Re: Programming Languages Discussion

Scratch -> Alice -> Python -> Java -> (insert language of choice)

Easiest route.

Back in my day.... there were no laws that censored the internet... now, there are.... nah.

Re: Programming Languages Discussion

Try BYOB. It's somewhat complicated, and I'm getting the hang of it. I want to learn more languages, but my (school's) laptop will not let me download anything without an administrator's password. BYOB was lucky--I downloaded it as a file and not a program. Anyway, BYOB is probably a decent step from SCRATCH to any other language.

No. It's better to learn 3. Then you actually learn them and spend more time in them.
