How do you add music?

I'm currently making a game, and I was looking on the itnernet to download music for it.
So now I've downloaded the song I want to add, but when I go to Sounds -> Import -> To the folder where the song is. Nothing comes up!

What am I doing wrong?   neutral

Re: How do you add music?

May be it is a problem with format. Do you know which format of the music do you use? is it .wav or .mp3 or something else?

Ah, there's the problem.

Unfortunately, you'll need to use a Scratch approved music file format.

Here's what Scratch Wiki says:
Scratch can only import uncompressed (Windows PCM) WAV files, some types of MP3, AIFF files, and AU files encoded with 8-bits or 16-bits per sample (but not 24-bits).

You can use an external audio editor (such as Audacity, which is open source and safe to use) to convert many sound file formats to the correct formats.
