You can switch to the view mode and choose full screen.
Yes.

Oh, and it'd be nice if you could switch from "see inside" to the project page without the project reloading.

Do you have JavaScript enabled? What browser and OS are you using?

Yup, I do!  smile  Firefox on a Mac (OS X 10.7.3). Same thing happens with Chrome, so I assume it's not browser-specific. To clarify, it only seems to happen when switching from "see inside" back to the project page.

Yeah, the number of people that reupload others' projects without making any changes will like, triple.

The number of "proper" remixes should increase too, though; should it not? And this can only be a good thing.  smile

Oh yeah, that. I don't think it used to be like that. :S

Re: Scratch 2.0 Prototype: Biggest Concerns

Shift-Click the Green Flag does not enable Turbo Mode.  sad

When maximizing the browser window, the editor does not take up the entire screen.  Half of my screen is simply white and not being utilized.  I was hoping to have a larger block editor area.  (I'm using IE9 on Windows 7, if that helps.)  Here is a screenshot: http://www.BoltBait.com/images/Scratch20.png

I can not access all of the keys in the "When [space] key pressed" block. (See screenshot above.)

The block editor is reeeeaaaaalllllyyyyy slow.  I couldn't develop using this.

Comment blocks are not displayed properly.

"Clean up blocks" is missing from the Shift-Click editor menu.

The text inside of display variables is cut off at the bottom. (See screenshot above.)

I was really hoping the mouse scroll wheel would work in the block editor window.  sad

I saved a project to my local drive, then Scratch 1.4 couldn't load it.  Scratch 1.4 said the header was corrupt.  sad

Save in flash format is missing. (This is the ONLY feature that would keep me from jumping over to Styncl.)

Maybe put in a warning for a "make clone" block being put in a clone start

I'm sure that'll end up in the help screens, when they make them.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Prototype: Biggest Concerns

One thing I'm finding annoying is the size the sprite pane. You can only see 4 sprites at once (plus a little bit of the tops of the next row), whereas before I could easily see over 30 or more.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Prototype: Biggest Concerns

I'm not sure if anyone's had a problem with this yet, but will we be able to import 1.4 sprites to 2.0 from within the website?
I wouldn't like to lose all of mine.

I'm not sure about "from within the website", but I was able to load several of my Scratch 1.4 projects from my local harddrive and they worked fine.  I could copy sprites to my backpack, etc.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Prototype: Biggest Concerns

When I move a block or a block definition to the backpack, I cannot switch among sprites anymore.

OS: windows 8
browser: firefox 12
project: http://alpha.scratch.mit.edu/projects/10000638/?mode=player

- Created block "jump" as "change y by 10; wait 1 sec; change y by -10"
- moved block (or block definition) to backpack
- cannot switch among sprites anymore

Okay, so I made a ton of projects on Scratch. Will I be able to put them on Scratch 2.0? I just worked hard on them.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Prototype: Biggest Concerns

I don't know if this is a glitch or what, but on my Mac I can't right-click: it pulls up the general Flash context menu.  Also, when saving projects to the local disk, shouldn't the file default to .sb?  If one misses that part, then (at least on OS X 10.7 (lion)) it will unarchive itself into another type of archive, which will unarchive itself into the original format, and so on.

Re: Scratch 2.0 Prototype: Biggest Concerns

Okay, the Clone functions. There should be a block that says (delete self when [off screen, etc])

Otherwise, it'll cause major lag if they aren't deleted.
