Hey guys! This has been started by tons of people in 1.4, but it was clearly not possible with the speed of scratch. Now with cloud variables, we can make passwords and usernames and even more!
2.0 Possible Features
-Clothing
-Houses
-Buddy Lists
-Visible players (I don't know if I will implement this feature, though...)
-Speech
Information
-Will be started when 2.0 is fully out, will be experimented from May 17th to May 21st.
-Will be called "Koalala" (Pronounced "kwah-la-la" and will include koalas) or any other names if you can suggest any.
Workers
-FreshStudios (head designer, head programmer)
- Programmer needed
- Mesh programmer needed
- Designer needed
- Designer needed

Wow, looks like there will be quite a few virtual worlds on Scratch 2.0!
Tip: store x and y values for different users in cloud lists. Also, I'd use clones for the different users, so you can change the number of sprites whenever needed.

No problem. I hope they helped!

I may be able to help on the programming side of it if you want.

I might be able to help you out as a programmer. If by scratch programmer, I might be able to help. I also was working on a virtual world if you want to support that, but otherwise I'd be happy to help.

can I be a designer?
and every good virtual world needs pets so can the pets be koalas or other cute animals

Sounds exciting! Can I be a designer! Love the name, by the way.

What I did for my 2.0 virtual world was use the pen blocks to render players. I've found that the best way to do things like that is to have the 'player' being a stationary dot in the middle of the screen whose coordinates would be stored in a cloud list. The project would then figure out what his 'field of view' was, and render any players in the vicinity. By the way, you might want to know: cloud lists only update globally every two seconds. When you start developing your engine, you should keep that in mind.

Once 2.0 is out, you can remix my 2.0 project I did at Scratch Day. It was basically a cloud-based click-to-move game, powered by cloning.

It is support to be out by the middle of 2013.
And 2.0 doesn't have any mesh blocks.

This is going to be hard, from what I can see. I can help.

Cool! Can I join? I want to be a programmer. I could do some basic designing. Btw, long time no see.
