Cut back on the music. Almost all the projects that are too big were made that way by putting in background music (often illegally copied at that).

hedgehog_pikabat: is it possible that you're behind a firewall or proxy? Sounds like that might be the case. Try asking the person who setup your computer and try disabling the proxy/firewall if you can and see if it works. If it does, then you'll know that's the problem.

moneymaster1223: it could be that you're behind a proxy or a firewall. Is that something could ask someone?
josh301: your question belongs to the Troubleshooting forum. Please ask there. Thanks!

Ask new questions on new threads (in your case josh301, the "All about Scratch" thread seems like the best one). Several of us have stopped responding to people who are highjacking existing threads.

Strange. Could you try again with an empty project? We have not been able to know exactly why this happens but it does seems to be related to the network connection or the load on the website.
Don't know why, but sharing an empty project doesn't work either...

thething12321: so you probably are behind a firewall or proxy. Could you disable your firewall or proxy? We know some people had to disable or reconfigure their Norton security software.

blockhead: the file that you're trying to open is probably damaged and there is not much you can do. You can try sending your file to scratch-try[at]media.mit.edu. I would also suggest you don't post angry messages or they will be ignored.

Can I share my Scratch project without having to install Scratch again and clicking on the Share button because my mother uses this computer for email and I do too. So can you just add a download page I can download to without having to click on that Share button. Thanks for understanding the situation.

I was also having problems uploading projects to scratch.mit.edu but then I figured out that I had to change the Norton Internet Security and Firewall options and then it started working. First I selected Internet Security and Firewall options and then chose program control. Then I found scratch in the list of programs and changed access to allow scratch internet access. It seemed to do the trick but I don't know if this would work for other anti virus software as well.

Okay, so i finish a really neat animation and i hit the upload button.
BUT it says "Address not found" (scratch.mit.edu)
Why is it doing this and what can i do to fix it?
