Can they? (I know admins can because they have full permissions)

Yes.
SILENT_EDIT: When we have edit abilities, we also have silent edit abilities. We generally only use it for changing topic titles though.

Yes, we can, but as pointed out above, we generally only use it when changing topic titles. Otherwise we leave the edit message so our actions are more transparent.

It's also nice to have for fixing typos I notice in my posts right after submitting.  tongue

And no, we don't really use it to mess with people. It's tempting, but not very good for keeping order.  wink
