No, I was playing the SET levels for the game. That first level in the Safari place is so glitchy I have to hold the control stick awkwardly and hope not to go through the platforms. I am SERIOUS.

Sonic 4 had pathetic excuses for physics, but adventure and 2 were pretty [why is this cencored] good.
They were pioneering a new way of play:  The modern style you see today is drastically changed, yes, but they had to make room for gimmicks in previous games featuring 3D control of sonic.

It was a brand new copy fresh from the box.

well it must have been defective in some way because my copy worked just fine
maybe they hadnt released patches or somethin, i got mine in 2010 or so and it played beautifully
