Why?

Recently, a lot of projects have been created, depicting that the user whom made it is "Leaving" Scratch.
Anyways, I have been wondering why they want to do such a thing.

Anyone know why?

Thanks!

Re: Why?

Because they want people to say "NO! DON'T LEAVE!" and then they'll be famous. It's a familiar publicity stunt and has always existed.

Re: Why?

Or they leave for a week, come back, and then try to be some super hero that came back

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: Why?

I'm agreeing with both of you guys. Here is what I want to say to them: Don't leave because you aren't popular or aren't getting more than 100 views in a day. Many people aren't and don't. Scratch is fun, amazing, and is a great way to devolppe imagination. Then you can share your creations with the world!

Re: Why?

a lot of people just want attention, this can be because they want popularity or even recent depressions in life that make them feel unwanted, so they say that to get people to want them, to feel wanted, if people really are depressed you shouldn't be jerks towards, they obviously need a little bit of help in life

Re: Why?

If people have depression then this forum would be more suitable

Nothing brings people down like weirdos who always complain about how much life sucks

PS: Dingdong, your sig reminded me of a quote by Spock

Spock: You may find that having is not so nearly pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.
